Saturday June 29th
1:00 – 4:00 PM
Join us for a Tau (2π) Day Celebration including food, fun, document shredding and a friendly pie off where you can either compete or judge.
Family and friends are welcome.
If you’re asking yourself what Tau Day is and why we are celebrating it with pie, you are in good company. We imagine you’ve heard of Pi day in honor of the mathematical constant 3.14. You may be aware that Pi day is celebrated, most often with pie, on March 14. What you may not know is that Tau means two Pi, and there is a movement in some circles to have Tau replace Pi.
Our take and why we’re celebrating is…what could be better than two pies! When doubling 3.14, we get 6.28, but a Friday just isn’t a great day for a picnic so we’re opting for a double pie celebration on June 29 instead.
